Q&A with Dr. Wells

We interviewed Dr. Wells, a Pre-AP English teacher at SMS, about her teaching experience here and abroad. See what she had to say.

Q: How did you get your Ph.D?

A: Well I was living in South Korea, and one day I decided to take online courses. That’s how it started.

Q: You’ve visited and lived in several countries. How many places have you visited?

A: I’ve travelled to 21 countries, and I’ve lived in seven of them.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: My favorite hobby is reading books and watching movies.

Q: What do you find most frustrating as a teacher?

A: The most frustrating thing for me as a teacher is when kids are off task and not doing their work.

Q: What is your philosophy as a teacher?

A: I try to help students find their purpose.
