In today’s world, teenagers are addicted to their phones. Since technology is new and flashy, it attracts attention and obsession among teens. It also changes the way they interact with each other.

Samuel Santiago, a 7th grade SMS student, says many of his friends are addicted to their phones. “I think being addicted to your phone is unhealthy,” he said. “You should spend more time in real life.”

One reason phone addiction is a problem is that it leads to car accidents. Many accidents are due to people using their phones while driving.

Santiago said he would not his phone behind the wheel. “If it is really important, just pull over,” he said.
